To solve the problem of mathematical literacy,
students need to have confidence to be successful in dealing with and solving
difficulties. That it is called self-efficacy. The goal of this research is to
describe the student's mathematical literacy profiles with high and low self-efficacy
with the application of PISA math questions.
The type of this research is descriptive research
using qualitative approach. This research was conducted in the academic year
2017/2018 at Bilingual Terpadu Junior High School Krian Sidoarjo grade VIII class
i. The determination of the subject was conducted by questionnaire The
Mathematics Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (MSEQ) which showed 10 students with
high self-efficacy and 22 students with low self-efficacy. Then, researchers
selected one student with high self-efficacy and one student with low self-efficacy.
The Instruments in this research using the SM-PISA test and interview.
Data analysis in this research is based on
mathematical literacy process that is formulated, employ and interpreted. The
results showed that students with high self-efficacy only able to perform the
employ process well and students with low self-efficacy unable to perform all
of mathematical literacy processes.
